Nobbe Racing begins 2021 season at Moler Raceway Park
The 2021 season got underway for Nobbe Racing on Friday night as Dustin Nobbe invaded Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) piloting his Nobbe Mower Shop No. 5 Late Model. With a fourth-place finish in his heat race pinning him eighth on the starting grid for the feature, Nobbe advanced forward five spots in the 25-lapper to register a third-place finish, trailing Todd Brennan and Bill Sheets across the line with Chris Shannon and Richie Edwards rounding out the Top-5. On Saturday afternoon, Dustin headed to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial. Drawing a stacked field of 35 Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals series entries for the $21,000-to-win A-Main, Nobbe made contact with the wall in his time trial session that put him behind the 8-Ball for the remainder of the evening. Starting his heat race in sixth, Dustin began his pursuit forward when a broken lift-bar bracket destroyed his lift-bar, driveshaft and more, resulting in a DNF.
