Dustin Nobbe opens 2022 season at Ponderosa and Florence

After Mother Nature spoiled his first two attempts to get the season underway, Dustin Nobbe kicked off the 2022 campaign on Friday evening at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ken.) aboard his Nobbe Mower Shop No. 5n Late Model for the Bobby Carrier Sr. Tribute. Drawing 27 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned by the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series and Iron-Man Northern Series, Dustin came in sixth in his heat before placing third in his B-Main. On Saturday evening at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the Spring 50, Nobbe followed up the 10th-fastest time in his group with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in 19th, Dustin pulled off on the eighth circuit.
