Crate racing with the Supers
Back on August 3rd we traveled to Brownstown Speedway to complete with the Northern Allstars Late Model Series. 41 super late models were on hand, and we took our crate to race with them. We would start 8th in our heat race and run 5th. This would start us on the outside pole of the b main. After some contact with another competitor, we would fade to 4th and miss the show by 2.
The next weekend was the north south 100. 61 super late models would be entered in the Lucas oil North South 100. We once again had our caret car to just have some fun and try some things, not expecting to make the race. We would qualify 15th in our group starting us 8th in heat 1 where we would finish pulling off early to save equipment. In the b main we would start 9th. We would charge our way forward to transfer into the feature. Starting last in the feature we would run a few laps and pull in once again to save our equipment. The next night did not go quite as well as we would miss the b main by 2 spots. This would set us up for Saturday main night where we hoped to make the non-qualifiers race. We were able to do just that where we would start 16th and finish 19th as we pulled off once again. We then took a weekend off to regroup and prep for Florence in the crate on 8/24.
